Position Overview: As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician in the oil and gas industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of critical electrical and instrumentation systems. Your responsibilities will contribute to maintaining operational efficiency and safety within our organization.
Key Responsibilities: Neded Electrical and Instrumentation Technician QTY – Kuwait City
Engineering Consulting in Oil and Gas:
- Review and approve Invitation to Bid (ITB), tender conditions, and specifications.
- Provide guidance to Design Engineers, ensuring services align with established cost, time, and scope.
- Review calculations, designs, drawings, specifications, and data sheets for completeness, accuracy, and conformity to standards.
- Follow procedures for signing off on design verification sheets.
- Ensure compliance with planned man-hours during work execution.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Review and approve/draw from Consultants, Contractors, Vendors, and 3rd Party inspectors.
- Prepare technical specifications and relevant drawings.
- Prepare and release material requisitions.
- Perform technical evaluation of offers and provide recommendations for order placement.
- Review vendor documents, drawings, test procedures, certificates, operating manuals, design books, and engineering data books in accordance with project specifications.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, calibration results, and equipment performance.
- Generate reports summarizing completed work, addressed issues, and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and instrumentation diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of oil and gas industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Education:
- B.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must have a valid Kuwait driving license.
- Indian male applicants preferred.
- Must have a valid 18 shoon ikama or 18 General Practitioner ikama.
